Returns & Refunds

We want you to be happy with your purchase from Ford RS Spence Spares. We take care to identify, photograph and describe our parts as accurately as possible, including part numbers, condition and known fitment information.

If you need to return an item, please read the information below and contact us before sending anything back.

Changed Your Mind?

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without having to give a reason.

Once you have told us that you wish to cancel, you should return the goods to us within a further 14 days.

Please contact us first so that we can provide the correct return instructions and return address.

Contact Us About a Return

Condition of Returned Items

For a change-of-mind return, please take reasonable care of the item while it is in your possession and return it complete with any packaging, labels, fittings or other items supplied with it where possible.

You are entitled to examine an item in the same way you reasonably could before purchasing it in a shop. However, if an item has been fitted, installed, used, damaged or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, we may be entitled to reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value.

Please do not fit or install a part if you have decided that you no longer require it.

New Old Stock & Original Packaging

Many of the parts we sell are New Old Stock (NOS), discontinued, rare or original period components. Original Ford packaging, labels and boxes can form part of the item’s condition and value.

Please take particular care with original packaging and labels. Unnecessary damage to collectible or original packaging may affect the value of a change-of-mind return where permitted by law.

Age-related marks, storage wear or deterioration that were clearly described or photographed in the original listing do not make an item faulty or incorrectly described.

Used Original Parts

Where an item is sold as a used original part, its used condition will be stated in the product description and shown in the photographs where possible.

Please review the photographs and description carefully before ordering and contact us if you require further information about a particular item.

Incorrect Fitment

Classic and older vehicles can vary considerably according to production date, engine, transmission, trim and previous modifications.

We provide Ford FINIS numbers, engineering numbers and fitment information wherever possible to help customers identify the correct component.

Unless we have specifically confirmed fitment for your individual vehicle, please compare the part number, dimensions, connections and existing component before ordering.

If you order the wrong part and simply wish to return it, this will normally be treated as a change-of-mind return.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If an item is faulty, materially different from its description, damaged in transit or we have sent you the wrong item, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide your order details together with photographs of the item and packaging where relevant. This will help us resolve the issue quickly.

Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy. Consumers have legal rights where goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for their intended purpose.

Where a return is required because an item is faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described, we will arrange or reimburse reasonable return costs as appropriate.

Return Postage

For a normal change-of-mind return, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us unless we agree otherwise.

We strongly recommend using an appropriate tracked and insured delivery service, particularly for rare or valuable parts. You remain responsible for the returned goods until they are received by us.

Refunds

Once a return has been received and checked, any refund due will be processed promptly and normally using the original payment method unless another method has been agreed with you.

For a valid cancellation of an online consumer order, the refund will include the price paid for the returned goods and the cost of our standard outbound delivery where required by law.

If you selected a more expensive delivery service than our standard delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional delivery cost.

Refunds for cancelled online orders will be made within the applicable statutory time limits.

Faulty Goods & Your Consumer Rights

Nothing on this page limits your rights under UK consumer law.

In addition to the online cancellation rights described above, consumers have separate legal remedies where goods are faulty or do not conform to the contract. These may include a refund, repair or replacement depending on the circumstances and how long you have had the goods.
